Parent’s can choose good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle for their children, but wireless radiation has fast become an environmental oppression. Large scale scientific studies have shown evidence of increased numbers of cancer cases for people living less than 500m from the antenna base stations.
Children absorb far more radiation than adults which affects their developing bodies. With the roll out of more transmitting and receiving antennas, wireless radiation cannot be avoided and every child is at risk of serious, lifelong health impacts to their immune function, their mental health, their fertility, their gene expression and even their DNA.
- Currently, small cell antennas (4G, soon to be 5G) can be installed anywhere without council permission or approval
- Only adjoining properties need to be notified of the installation
- There is no legal minimum distance an antenna should be installed from homes, schools, hospitals etc.

- Australia’s Radiation Protection Standard is based on outdated guidelines published in 1998 and doesn’t account for non-thermal biological effects, which occur at very low levels and are far more hazardous to children. Countries around the world have set their limits based on non-thermal effects. Australia has not. This means that Australia’s exposure guidelines are up to 1000 times higher than many other countries.
To impose this hazardous technology upon the people of Australia using deceptive, unsafe safety standards that were determined using biased, outdated science and corrupt processes, is an inhumane act, criminal neglect and a crime against humanity. Future generations will suffer irreparable damage if we do not act now.
We have the right to a safety standard that is based on current, independent scientific studies that are not funded, coerced, manipulated or contaminated by any industry or persons that benefit financially from the technology or from its vendors.
I ask you to urgently move to set a safe Mandatory Minimum Distance between transmitting / receiving antennas and all sensitive areas including; homes, daycare centres, pre-schools, schools, hospitals or anywhere that children spend more than four hours a day. And to have the Australian safety standards removed and updated based on unbiased, current scientific evidence of the non-thermal effects on human health.
